Geocache Description:

This cache was fired from the big green gun on North Head. You have to find out where it landed.

Canon

The coordinates above just give the general locality of the cache - not the final location.

The gun has already been logged as a locationless cache find. It is pitched at a 16° angle to the ground and is directed at a bearing of 166.32° True. It fired the cache with an initial velocity of 191 meters/sec. For this exercise, just assume the cache landed at the same elevation as the gun.

Use the Ballistics Trajectory simulation from the University of Utah to help you with the calculations. Your browser will need to be able to run Java applets. (Note: you need to press the Enter key after typing in the parameters so the applet will recognise your input values. Don't just mouse or tab around).

The cache is a 400ml sistema container painted black

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
