This cache has been archived.

RoadRunner: This cache has been disabled for a long time with no indication in the logs that it will be back.
Per the guidelines caches should be down for maintenance for only a few weeks. Since there is no indication in the logs that this will be back in action soon I am archiveing it.

If this cache is in place or otherwise back in action, please let me know and I will review the cache listing.

Geocache Description:

This cache is accessible by 2WD from two locations during good weather and dry soil.

One location W 39.32.887 N 119.52.186 will require a 2WD with some ground clearance. There are some rocks in the road. Most can be driven around in a 2WD.

Another location W 39.32.965 N 119.51.552 is accessible without a high ground clearance vehicle.

If you are driving a 2WD vehicle, the best parking spot is at W 39.33.115 N 119.51.813. Then you will have a .11 mile hike in rocky terrain.

A 4WD will be able to access this cache all year long... unless we have a really freaky winter storm dump! Even then give it a few days and it will melt off. It is a southern exposure.

The views are great!!! There is an elevation change from the valley floor.

This cache will take some looking if your GPS is off much!!!

If you so choose to walk... The first location listed is a .47 mile hike one way. The second location listed is a .41 mile hike one way.

We hope you enjoy and please be creative with your postings to follow the "R" theme!

Happy Hunting!!!

This is the first cache that we placed together as a family. We thought the name should be a fitting one. It is so themed. Please try to trade items that begin with the letter “R.” You can be creative when describing the item you left… like: racy, red, rose-colored, real, retro, retired, right, rubber, royal, rare, rested, etc…

Items to leave in cache:

Red Log Book
Red Printed Geocaching Letter
Red Pen
