Hooper Swamp Traditional Geocache
northcountry: No one has tried to find this geocache in two years, and only one in the past five years. So this one is getting retired. Removed the geocache from Hooper Swamp.

Into the depths of a northern Michigan swamp. Take your time and see wildlife.
Approach this from the north. Well, okay, it is not a direct shot from the north, the routes in will wonder all around, but eventually you will want to find yourself north of the cache. If you do find yourself south of it: give up and start over. Trust me; give up.This is a beautiful spot with lots of wildlife. You will go buy several different wetland types mixed with various types of woods. Take your time and have fun.When you get to within 0.17 mile north of the cache, park you vehicle. Do not go any closer than 0.14 mile with a vehicle so you to not tear up the fragile environment in this wetland. To get to the 0.17 mile north, it is either a long walk, or you will need a all/four wheel drive. (My Subaru Forester can make it, so it does not need to be heavy duty type stuff.)
