This geocaching "seminar" has been planned in the past and never seemed to happen. Everyone can benefit from this activity. We haven't worked out all the details yet so this cache page will be updated as the plans are made.
This program will be held Saturday, April 10th, 10AM - 2PM, at the Amphitheater in Phalen Park. For those who haven't been here, it's a beautiful park, with trails, picnic tables, hills and Lake Phalen. Currently there are 10 caches in the park and surrounding area.
The program is scheduled to start at the Amphitheater at 10 AM. We will have sample caches, contents, log books, etc, and whatever we want to display. After the session, we will break up into small groups to learn about using a GPSr for geocaching, locating caches, and other related questions. Copies of the Phalen Park cache pages will be available to obtain waypoints. This session is scheduled to be finished by 2PM.
Mark your calendar for April 10th and plan on attending. We will need extra GPSr's (and different brands) for those that don't own a GPS so we can provide hands on and hand holding as necessary.
If you know anyone who has an interest in learning about geocaching or received a GPSr over Christmas, be sure to tell them about this event.
