Dauda Valley Traditional Geocache
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
A traditional cache. To get to this cache I strongly encourage you to first visit Dauda waterfall (N57 10' 10.092" E24 54' 11.09"). If you are going there with the car, leave it at N57 9' 53.136" E24 54' 25.236" and go further by feet. Once at waterfall (it is claimed to be highest in Latvia, although I am not 100% sure), continue down the river from there.Otherwise (if going from East) you will have to cross some private properties which is not good. The terrain will be somewhat difficult - no bikes, no 4x4 - go there by feet; you are likely to have to cross the river several times. Expect bad reception of GPS signal. The cache is in glass jar below the small cliff. You will have to remove some stones to access it.Be aware that it is likely there seems to be water falling from that little cliff during a heavy rain. There are many smaller and bigger clifs in the vicinity of the cache. Enjoy!
