Geocache Description:

A short walk around the grounds of the headquarters of one of Swedens leading companies.

Ironmaking in Sandviken is a relatively new phenomena. It started in 1858 when the Bessemer process was introduced and the first successful production on an industrial scale was carried out. Today Sandvik is an international company with a turnover of 50 billion SEK and over 37,000 employees in an area of Sweden where iron making has existed since the days of the Vikings but with certain exceptions nearly completely disappeared.

The cache was originally a transparent tupperware like plastic box(13 x 8 x 5 cm) but after having replaced it a couple of time I have had to resort to using a micro for the cache. Sorry!

The contents are Geocaching information, log book and pencil.

At the first object you will see two SETS of numbers each with four digits; a and b from which the coordinates of the second point can be calculated.

The coordinates of the second object are:

N60° 37.x E16° 47.y
where x=(a-4)/33 and y=(b-1)/9

At the second object you will find further SETS of numbers, c, d and e. You only need two of them.

The coordinates of the third object are:

N60° 36.m E16° 47.n
where m=(d+1)/2 and n=(d-c)

On the third object you will find a four digit number wxyz.

The coordinates of the cache are:
