Geocache Description:

Hike a wooded trail, climb a hill and take in breathtaking vistas of the First Lake chain. See the Kennebecasis River valley, Partridge Island and the Bay of Fundy; then explore a natural wonder.

Make your way to Hwy 111 (Saint John airport arterial). Turn East onto the Cosy Lake Rd, travel for approx 1.5 km and park where you see a large concrete block and boulders in front of an open lot on the left at [N 45°21.022’ W65°54.817’]. Cross the lot and follow the logging road. The landowner is cutting wood in the area. At times the road is littered with cut branches and limbs. Follow your GPS to [N 45°21.051’ W65°54.441’] and go left. Continue uphill to [N 45 21.156' W65 54.443'] and follow the skidder road to the right up the hill. At [N 45 21.221' W 65 54.396'] leave the road you're on and follow an old logging road. Once again there are branches and cut limbs on the road. After a very short walk you will enter a clearing at [N 45°21.291’ W65°54.397’]. Take the road on the right. This road narrows, becoming an ATV trail. At [N 45°21.281’ W65°54.057’] the trail takes a 90° turn to the right and there is a boulder in front of you, beside the trail. Leave the trail here, walk past the boulder and start following the base of the hill until you reach a rockface at [N 45 21.319' W 65 54.029']. Start climbing up the hill. The flagging tape that once marked the footpath to the top is missing or faded. The following 3 waypoints should guide you to the top: [N 45 21.359' W 65 54.043], [N 45 21.377' W 65 54.082], [N 45 21.390' W 65 54.096]. Once you reach the summit check out the view and head to the cache. Cache is a waterproof metal container. GPSr WAAS accuracy was 4m when cache was concealed.
