Geocache Description:

The cache is a traditional Tupperware box in a black bin bag. Lay-by parking is available on the road locally, or at the nearby pub.

Vicar's Tipple is tucked away in the beautiful and ancient Maidenhead Thicket. Only a brief walk from the road, it's ideally placed for a quick cache-n-drive. The site is just 3-4 metres from the woodland path.

The box has a blue lid and is labeled up with official Geocaching stickers. In-cache equipment includes an official logbook and pencil, and a pencil sharpener.

When placed, the cache contained the following:

  • 2 AA batteries
  • A wooden spoon
  • Glasses lens wipes
  • A selection of colourful stationary items
  • A jumbo die
  • A carabiner
  • A mouse keyring
  • Logbook, cache sheet, pencil and sharpener

And the name? We'd originally hoped to place the cache in nearby Holyport, but couldn't find anywhere suitable!

Note: those hoping to combine this cache with a visit to the Shire Horse Centre nearby should note that the centre has closed in recent years.
