Chester has created
this cache as a reward for those cachers who have completed his
Chester's Oxford Parks Quest (COPQ) series. It is not located
in a park or in Oxford but in the small and pretty Oxfordshire
village where he first met the clan. He stared at us with his big
brown eyes and made a big fuss of us all, how could we not take him
home with us? You will find that this multi-cache will take you on
a reasonable walkieeees of about 4 miles over reasonably easy
terrain, although you will have to negotiate a stile or two, and it
would probably not be suitable for buggies.
We hope you enjoyed
the series of eighteen caches, and the Bone'us cache, Do please
post some picies for Chester, especially if you have one of his
canine friends with you.
This cache is made up of
a series of micro caches and a puzzle which will eventually lead
you to the final cache, a well stocked ammo box. You will find
suitable parking at numerous locations around and on the large
village green.
An OS map of the area would be particularly
useful.
The start point is a
micro located not too far from the parking spot. To find it you
will need the letters found on the lids of the COPQ caches (use the
table below to record them). Each letter represents a number in the
start location below, i.e. if you found the letter T at COPQ 1 then
T=1.
If you have lost,
forgotten to pick up or letters were missing please do send Chester
an email and he will email them back to you.

The co-ordinates you
found at the mill will lead you to the next micro through the
village down School Lane and past Barkers Cottage, very
apt.
The next set of
co-ordinates will lead you along a footpath to the Church. This
path is apparently on the flood plain and can be quite wet after
prolonged rain so wear suitable footwear. Joan's mum has the answer
to the next location. A place to live perhaps
abcdef, convert the letters to numbers
in the time honoured fashion, adding any double digits together
until you have a single digit i.e. M (13) would be
1+3=4.

From the church use the
co-ordinates to take you to the place where the clan adopted me.
Here you will find a big sign on the gate with two telephone
numbers, using the second number 01865
ABCDEB work out the co-ordinates for the next
location.

These co-ordinates will
take you to the last micro. You can get there by following the road
SE, but it can be rather busy and fast so I would recommend that
you use the more pleasant footpath leading from the village
green.
You should now have the
co-ordinates for the final cache. From here head South along the
footpath until you come to a junction where you will need to turn
right and head off in a Westerly direction. The cache is located in
an area of dense tree cover, which may cause problems with your
GPSr, so I have include a particularly descriptive Additional Hint
along with a spoiler photo for its location.
When first placed
Chester stocked this cache with things that he thinks his friends
might like, and has asked that cachers please stick to this doggy
theme when making exchanges. He has included an FTF certificate,

As my employer has decided that it would be a good idea to
move the whole organisation to Bristol, the Phillimore's (Mad H@ter
and Muddy Legs) will be moving on to pastures new and some fresh
caches. Unfortunately this will mean that it will become difficult
for us to maintain our Oxfordshire caches, so we will therefore be
gradually archiving the majority of them. We shall start our
program of collecting the caches and archiving them in the new
year, but as we have one or two caches out there this will not be a
