A three mile round trip hike will take you past four caches, three of them are new. Parking is at N 34 09.683 W 118 58.212. The trail head is at N 34 09.563 W 118 58.240. You will be on good trails the entire way. The first 100 feet are slightly overgrown, but the rest of trail is wide and clear of brush
The other caches in this area are V-Eight (GCJGRF), Doc (GCGR6X), and Boney View Two (GCJH40).
Dos Vientos Trail Head (GCHJ2F) also is very close to where you parked. It is a more challenging cache.
Follow the trail up the hill. Even when your GPS tells you that the cache is only 270 from you, continue on up the trail to the paved access road. Go right around the black fence and up the slope to the cache. This cache is one mile from where you parked. The ammo can is under a bush, about 15 feet south of the trail.
This cache originally was filled with creatures who like water.
No bushwacking and watch for snakes when searching.
Take time to enjoy the great views of Boney Mountain and the homes in Dos Vientos.
