On the Western Cape/Northern Cape border, Van Rhynspass offers both a passage to the hot-as-hell Northern Cape
inland and a good view of the route you've just driven.
Park at S31.22.312 E019.00.963
Cache is atop the Van Rhynsdorp Pass on the R63 from Van Rhynsdorp to Nieuwoudtville, slightly off the road, under a litchen-covered rock, overlooking the ascending road. Less than 100km away (small distance in these parts) in Calvinia you can see a giant postbox in the main road.
