Curling was the darling sport of the last winter Olympics one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, Massachusetts is one of the few public clubs in the region and this cache is to help encourage people to find out about this unique sport.
The theme of the cache is curling and we highly encourage curling pins, memorabilia, or any other items related to curling. You can park in the club parking lot at N 42 20.626' W 071 20.227' and take the short hike into the woods to find the cache. During the off season (May-Oct), you will find sparse curlers here. During the curling season (Oct-May) you may be fighting the hordes of curlers for parking.
If you do seek the cache during the curling season, please stop in and watch the curling matches! Curling is a sport that all can play.
There is an info sheet on the history of Curling, Broomstones club, and curling in the United States in the cache. Please take one as a memento of your find.
