Geocache Description:

Warning: Hunt this cache at your own risk.

This cache is in the wooded area of Kounty Pond. I've been by here a number of times, always thought it would be a nice place for a cache, but never got to it. Till now that is. This cache has been oked by the county. Remember to follow all park rules, and no digging.

On 380 take the exit for Brandon (exit 49) and head east on the county road, just below the over pass you turn south down a little gravel land (theres a sign too). Follow this to the area.

There is a small parking lot above the boat ramp, at 42.18.272 91.58.033. From the parking area, get to the far side of the lake either way it doesn't matter). On the far side find the path along the West side of swampy area (or second lake whatever you like to call it). Follow this path to within about 100ft of the cache. If you get to the big concrete culvert you've gone too far.

Caution: This cache is in or near a public hunting are. Please use extra care if you choose to go geocaching during open hunting season. Iowa's popular shotgun deer seasons are ususally the first 3 or so weeks of Decemeber, but the specific dates vary from year to year LINK
