This cache is hidden along the Walter Bean Grand River Trail – Access Point 14 – Marsland Landing at Kiwanis Park in Kitchener.
While there is an entry fee for the park, there is none for the trail use. Free parking is located at N43°30.044’ W080°28.625’. The cache is about 1.9Km from the parking lot but the trail is level and hard packed – a brisk walk will get you there in 20 minutes. Please follow the trail, even though at first it will seem like you are getting further away from the cache. No bushwhacking is required - the cache is only a few metres off the trail.
You will pass by the huge swimming pool (a 2 acre asphalt-lined lake), a canoe access point to the Grand River, a pine forest, and then meadows and woods. The trail parallels the Grand River and you will see it from time to time.
