Geocache Description:

Kätkö on Pyhämaan Kammelassa meren rannalla. Matkaa Uudestakaupungista on n. 20 km.

Kammelan lounaispuolella olevan Lupanvuoren 14 ryssänuunia sijaitsevat n. 200 x 400 m:n alueella. Maasto on kallioista mäntymetsää. Raunioiden koot ovat noin 2 x 2 m. Ilmeisesti venäläinen saaristolaivasto on rakentanut uunit Isonvihan ja Suomen sodan aikana vuosina 1713–1721 ja 1808–1809. Uuneissa on ilmeisesti kypsennetty leipää. Uunit ovat rauhoitettu muinaismuistolain perusteella.

Paikalle saattaa päästä rantautumaan myös veneellä. Merellä n. 6 km:n päässä suunnassa 312° näkyy Lyökin Pooki.

There are 14 russian ovens in South-East from Kammela village in Pyhamaa. The area is about 200 x 400 m. The ground around ovens is forest with pines and rocks. The size of ruins are about 2 x 2 m. Probably russian navy soldiers has built the ovens during Isoviha and Finnish war in years 1713-1721 and 1808-1809.
