Pine River View:
This cache is located along the great scenic Pine River. It is on a great loop called: The Silver Creek Pathway.
Many years ago, I used to camp and canoe here with my church group outings. I remember all the rope swings along the river. It was great! If you do the whole loop, it is close to five miles and a great area.
On one part, we saw fresh beaver clippings and a beaver slide! Also, lots of loons. It is a nice quiet area. For this cache you should park at the Silver Creek State Forest Campground on State Road. Go to the far end and park by the trailhead by the outhouses. No need to cross the Pine River yet. It is not a far walk. If you park at the State Road parking area, you will miss some neat creeks and sites. Parking at the campground is better. You can hit this cache year round. Have a picnic at a campsite and enjoy the area! The cache is a Green and Brown Plastic Tube. 3" X 22" It has lots of goodies in it and a log book.
