This hide will bring you to Morgan Creek Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls in Marquette area. Adventurers could make this part of a day-long Carp River geocache journey with 5 caches hidden near the river between Lake Superior and County Road 492
The cache is near the intersection of Morgan Creek and the Carp River at a scenic waterfall. This site is worth the effort for those who haven't been here. Difficulty rating is such because the road (part of snowmobile trail system in winter) is challenging and sometimes impassable for low-riding vehicles (but EZ for hiking and biking). Discovery also requires a water crossing over logs. Initial cache contents include Pirate Handbook, butterfly rattle, coupons for food at local establishments, Geocoin, electronic mosquito repeller, hacky sack, agate, keychain, 2 light-up matchbox cars, container of beads, pen and rubber stamp. Thanks to Skid Steer for the donations.Morgan Creek is named after Lewis Morgan, turn-of-the-century business pioneer who became internationally known as an expert of beavers after publishing thorough studies of the beaver he observed during his exploration for minerals.
