Marko Ramius: Sorry, but 14 months is too long for a cache to be inactive without maintenance. Another cacher would like to place a cache in this location, so this one needs to be archived. -MR.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located near Highland Springs Avenue in Banning.

I have always enjoyed this area. Lots of wildlife around here. It is beautiful when the Spring season greens things up. Take the I-10 to Highland Springs and head south. Park at the green gates that mark the entrance to the new Potrero Creek Wildlife Area. (You will not be entering the Wildlife area, but this is the closest place to park.) To find the cache you will have to walk less than 1/4 mile off the road. As always in So Cal, keep an eye out for snakes and lizards. The cache is a camouflaged ammo can. Inside I have the following goodies:
Logbook and writing implements
Phototron camera for taking your picture (please take a pic or two and leave the camera for the next group.)
A letter about the local history

Goodies for trading:
Golden Cat idol
Dancing skeleton
Spiky rubber ball
Fuzzy dice keyring
Rubber eel
Plush fire salamander
Pushbutton Poodle
Aluminum Cigarette Case
Mummy Keyring
Happyface Skeleton
Resin Rattleback
2 Packets of Chinese Pop Idol Pocketposters
Several stickers of Hindu Gods
1 pack of “Super Lady Care” Bindi marks
skooshy heart keyring
Mini rubber duckie
Ceramic mandrill baboon box
Squishy jack-o-lantern from my mother-in-law's blood bank
9-volt-powered blinky light

The title for this cache comes from the fact that Lockheed used to test rocket engines in the now-wildlife park from the 50's to the 70's.
