Geocache Description:

When you think about Cypress trees, you don't think Cook County, do you? Me neither. So imagine my suprise when I found a small grove of them growing in a Cook County Forest Preserve.

Much like the serendipity of finding the Monk Parakeets that inspired the Monks of Berwyn cache, I just stumbled upon this grove and now I'd like to share/show it to you as well.

Deer Grazing
Your journey begins some distance away at the posted coordinates in another nice spot of this sprawling preserve. This area receives heavy 'unofficial' use and presents a CITO opportunity for those so inclined. It is also a popular bedding area for the local deer like the one pictured. You are searching for a Bison capsule, I'm not evil, it's just a nice waterproof container -- it's located well above the ground to avoid spring floods and casual observation.

Inside the Bison, you'll find the coordinates to waypoint 2. There is no reason to go to waypoint 2, I've not been there myself, but it is needed to solve the final cache. The line defined by the posted coords and waypoint 2 represent the side of a square. The cache is located in the Cypress grove at a point in the center of the square defined by the line.

Cypress Grove
As you already know, the final is in a small Cypress grove, this area is also adjacent to two small watering holes and wildlife abounds; take a few moments to enjoy the area. The cache itself is a smallish Rubbermaid container suitable for small trade items. This area doesn't receive a lot of human traffic through trails are near; please keep the place nice.

I did zero bushwacking to place either component of this cache, though if you blindly just follow the arrow, you'll have a tough time.
