floydette: Back in November 2005 I replaced the container for the third time, and stated then that it would be the last one. Well, it's lasted a good long time. I enjoyed re-reading the logs, and now I put it to rest. Thanks for the fun.

Geocache Description:

Farewell Bend is both the historical name for Bend, and after so many years of hyper-growth and construction, a goodbye to the small town that I moved to two decades ago. Just a few short years ago, this would not have been an urban micro. Now it is. While looking for this cache, perhaps you can admire the architectural qualities you will encounter, as I do. The container is an AOL tin, and contains only a log sheet, so please bring something to write with. After I placed the cache and went to get a reading on my GPSr, it was squirrely, so please let me know if you have any trouble.
