Geocache Description:

Key-Ring Kate is a sister cache to Padlock Pete which are both located in Wilton's Weir Farm Preserve. Locked up inside the cache is Key-Ring Kate Travel Bug who needs your help to start her journey!

Key-Ring Kate is a conventional cache (ammo box) located off the Blue Trail in Weir Farm. If you follow the trail, there is nominal bushwacking. ROCKS, HOWEVER, CAN BE SLIPPERY IF WET. Recommended parking is on Nod Hill Road, north of Serendipity Lane at 41 15.180W, 73 27.286W (small pull off). Key-Ring Kate Travel Bug is located in a box inside the cache. To release her, you will need to locate the key which is hidden within twenty feet of the cache. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOCATE THE KEY TO LOG THE FIND. You do need to locate the cache and sign the log, however. If you do release Key-Ring Kate, please leave the box and lock in the cache, as I will replace her with another travel bug. Please re-hide the key as found. The theme for this cache, if you have not already determined it, is key-rings. I have stocked the cache with several key-rings which can be traded for other key-rings. Check out Weir Wagon cache also located in this preserve. Please take the time to re-hide the cache as found.
