This cache has to be a virtual because of the nature of the site. This was a village that was evacuated in 1943 to allow for the army to move into the area for their gunnery ranges. The intention after the war was to allow the villagers to move back in, but this never occurred. So we are now left with the remains of a village, stuck in a time warp.
I found out about this place a few years ago on a Radio 4 programme, and visited it soon after and was fascinated by it. If it is a place you have not visited yet then it is a must!!!
