This trail and wooded area was unknown to me (and probably most of you) until I accidentally found it while scoping some areas out for a series I plan on putting out soon.
One of my favorite types of cache is finding a small gem of a forest hidden in an area you would normally never go to. This trail is found hidden in a residential area. It would be easy to overlook the trail head as it appears to be somebody's side yard until you notice the small "Town of Pittsford Trails" sign.
Bring your x-country skiis if you wish during winter. When the cache was placed, the trail was hard-packed and well used, and should be nice for skiing.
Bicycles are not allowed!
There is no parking area at the trail head, but it's a residential neighborhood and safe to park on the street. Please park at 43 06.193N, 77 30.600W.
The walk to the cache is just under a quarter mile. You can make a loop if you wish for about the same distance back.
