Geocache Description:


Milan Italy. The castle “Castello Sforzesco” is one of the most important monuments of Milan and the Italian Renaissance; it was built in 1450 by the Duke Francesco Sforza, Lord of Milan, on the old foundations of the destroyed old castle erected by the Visconti Family. Later the castle became a more luxury residence expecially ruling Lodovico Il Moro who called Leonardo da Vinci and Bramante in Milan to improve his residence. After several vicissitudes, including, wars, atmospheric events, transformations, until the final restore of Beltrami, it is nowadays place of important and cultural events of the Milan Life. A visit is recommended. The cache is out of the castle. Il Castello sforzesco è uno dei più importanti monumenti di Milano e del Rinascimento Italiano; fu costruito nel 1450 dal Duca Francesco Sforza, Signore di Milano, sulle fondamenta del vecchio castello distrutto dei Visconti. Successivamente il castello divenne una residenza più raffinata sotto la signoria di Lodovico il Moro che chiamò Leonardo da Vinci e Bramante a Milano per abbellire la sua residenza. Dopo molte vicissitudini, tra cui guerre, eventi atmosferici, trasformazioni varie fino al restauro finale del Beltrami, è divenuto al giorno d’oggi sede di importanti eventi e manifestazioni della vita di Milano. Si consiglia una visita. La cache è fuori del castello.
