Geocache Description:

This Cache is an incentive to visit the new Jurassic Pier at West Bay, Dorset which opened to the public in December 2004 and was officially opened by HRH Prince Andrew,The Duke of York on 8th March 2005.

The new pier is part of a sea defence project costing over £16 million. The project consists of a new and safer entrance to the harbour and the Jurrasic Pier just to the west, which protects it. There is wheelchair/pushchair access and seating along most of the pier. The Pier is 240 metres long; recessed lighting is included for evening and night visitors plus blue uplighting at all of the ladder accesses for boats in the outer harbour.

It is suggested that you use the Car Park on the new Eastern Harbour Wall,--- (turn left as soon as you see the harbour). You should manage this cache within an hour just, if you do not waste time but we would suggest that you take your time and pay for more parking (especially as it is cheaper than in neighbouring Devon !!). Enjoy the area and perhaps take some food/drink to the cache site as this will give you good cover because the cache is hidden close to where muggles and grockles may pass.

You will need to visit each part of the new harbour/pier to answer the four questions below. Each answer is a 2 digit number which, when placed vertically will complete the coordinates for the cache.

A) What is the sum of the four digits in the year on the cannon?
B) Multiply the number of beans on the Eastern Wall by 5 and then deduct 5.(Careful there is a sneaky one)
C) What are the middle two digits in the year of the death of Kenny Hodges.
D) AT THE END OF THE WESTERN WALL, find a west facing display board. What are the missing digits from the phone number 0DD0 608 2 608 by the Smiley Face

Once you have these answers work out the coordinates of the cache which is at

Good Luck but please be careful on your way especially with children, dogs and Grannies
