Geocache Description:

* * *

Nice views of the Sloterplas, an artificial lake in the western part of Amsterdam. The lake was dug between 1948 and 1956. It is about 30 meters or 100 feet deep. The sand was used to heighten the surrounding area, where the so called garden cities (the suburbs in this part of Amsterdam) were built.

The cache is a 35mm film canister (bring your own pen!), hidden near the Watersportcentrum Sloterplas (Sloterplas Aquatic Sports Centre). A popular area for anglers, therefore it is necessary to stay alert at all times. Don't remove the canister from its camouflage!
