As you may have guessed from my geocaching name, I enjoy
watching the television show, Star Trek. I have been geocaching for
over three years, but I have yet to place a Star Trek cache. Given
my anticipated 1000th find on stardate -318232.3 (7:00pm on March
26, 2005), I decided to place a new Star Trek related cache.
Star Trek originally aired in 1966 with the adventures of the
U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 and her crew. Notable episodes
include:
- Where No Man Has Gone Before
- The Trouble With Tribbles
- The Menagerie, Part I
- Space Seed
- The City on the Edge of Forever
- Amok Time
- A Piece of the Action
Despite fan objections, the show was cancelled at the end of its
third season.
Star Trek: Animated Adventures was the next attempt to resurrect
the show, but it wasn’t until the release of Star Trek: The Motion
Picture, and the sequels that serious consideration was given to
another live action television series.
In 1987, Star Trek: The Next Generation aired, followed by Star
Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and the latest
incarnation, Star Trek: Enterprise. Most of these comprised seven
seasons, averaging about 150 episodes per series. While this
is a lot of episodes, I do have some favorites:

- The First Duty
- Children of Time
- Broken Link
- Flesh and Blood, Part II
- Future’s End, Part II
- Remember
