The cache is a small camo matchstick (waterproof) container. Does have a log sheet and small pencil in it. I would recommend having a pen along just in case. I plan to place a few more micros along this trail in the near future.
There are several areas to enter the Sauk Rail Trail and this is one of them. Getting to the cache from the trail is only a couple of steps. There are often muggles so A quick grab then note and replace may be needed.
The Sauk Rail Trail runs from Swan Lake to Lake View, IA. A one day permit can be purchased and the enterance site for only 1 Dollar. Check with the Carroll Co Conservation Dept. for yearly ones. (At least I think they have yearly memberships) Any way the one day can be purchased at the enterance point in the yellow tube, directions are nearby.
