A Mammoth Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located on Onny Meadows next to The Secret Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms, South Shropshire. The cache is only a short walk from the Centre car park and all but the last 40 metres is on paths. It is not suitable for wheelchair access. It can be muddy and beware the muggles, there are always lots of them about. When you get to the centre you will find out why the cache is so named.
PLEASE NOTE - you do not need to cross any fences to get to this cache!

The website,
www.secrethills.com
will tell you all about the Secret Hills Centre which is well worth a visit when you go for the cache. They have a great cafe and lots of interesting activities and walks which make it particularly good for families.
The meadows are lovely being full of wildlife and flowers and if you are lucky, as I was when I put the cache out, you will see a kingfisher on the river Onny.
The cache is a small ammo box full of all the normal goodies.
Please can you be careful to rehide the cache well as the area is frequented by muggles.
Lastly may I thank the Secret Hills Centre and Shropshire County Council for their permission to put the cache here.
