*The original container is MIA. I placed a new container in a
slightly different location. The new box is a small decon container
with a log book, pencil, and some small trade items. Enjoy!
I named this cache the Eagle cache and chose to hide the cache
here because the nature trail was planned and built by my brother
for his Boy Scout Eagle Project. The trail was designed to be an
educational resource for the community and is pretty much
handicapped accessable.
As part of the project, two benches were built, a bridge was
built over a swampy spot, and the entire length of the trail was
mulched with woodchips. In addition, a large trailhead sign was
carved as well as tree identification plaques.
The trail is located in a thin strip of woods on town property
between a residential neighborhood and the park baseball fields and
parking lot which can be quite crowded in the summer. Please use
discretion and rehide the cache well so that it cannot be seen from
the trail.
This cache makes a great lunchtime cache, or bring the kids as
there is a playground and picnic tables.
Note that the park is seasonal. It is open from late spring to
early fall. In the winter the gate is usually open during the day,
but if it isn't, it is always possile to park on a side road and
walk into the park.(do not park on Germonds Road)
