Scruffster's Treasures Resurfaced Tour
This is one in a series of caches dedicated to the history and heritage of Burnaby.
This cache may be considered a mini-multicache. There is only one stop before the final destination and it is directly along the route. For a short history of the area and additional hints, visit:
The coords above take you to the first waypoint located at the edge of the park.
The closest street parking is along Underhill Avenue just south of Broadway. Along a dirt road that borders the south end of the park you will see several trails leading into the bush. Not all will take you to the final cache.
This hunt is great for dogs but small children may need help along certain sections of the trail. If you've found the right trail it should be a short journey from the trailhead to the final cache. The stream can rise and fall depending on the weather. Plan on getting your feet wet if you visit the cache during heavy rains.
GPS reception may be scant at best so just look for a part of the creek that makes a sharp S curve where a tree's roots hug a large rock.
Enjoy your visit.
