How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage cache with easy terrain, tough retrieval. You can park at each stage. **WARNING** You may have to take your pet-monkey to help retrieve the cache! Do not attempt retrieval if you are not used to this activity! Owner assumes no responsibility for injury.

This is our second cache placed on the same day as our first. We were on a "bike hike" while staying for our annual "6th grade camp" week at Grace Youth Camp. We thought this was a nice place to rest, view the dunes, and swim while biking or hiking around the lake. I've been coming to this lake for years, and never noticed these public access places until I rode past them slowly on a bike.

To find the coords of the 2nd stage, you must read the sign nearest the lake at the first stage:

"__ _______ __ _____ __ ______ ______"

Find the MIDDLE word in the above sentence (5 letters).
Write this word into the 5 missing digits of the 2nd stage coords below.

N43-39.585 W086-__.___

Then use the table below to translate these characters to digits (not all characters will be used):
'A'=6; 'B'=3; 'E'=7; 'I'=2; 'M'=1; 'O'=0; 'S'=9;
