Budalsvika is just inside Norwegian territory by a few meters, but at the nearby stream one can stand on the footbridge with one foot in Sweden, one in Norway, by a sign. The cabin can be approached from the east side from the Nössemark area (Råbocken) in Sweden, which is a protected area of natural beauty and has a well-marked trail of about 4km from the road to the cabin. Alternatively, one can approach from the north from Remnevannet or Fjellbro near Aremark in Norway or even the west from Torgalsbroen (about 11km, see map). Whichever way, a beautiful hike in the country with historic associations awaits you. If you should stay overnight, there are other locally famous spots nearby, such as Fridtjof Nansen's Hotell (GCWJ1G), actually an overhanging rock.
