Big Hill Lookout was constructed in 1933. It was a 24' pole L-4
tower and after nearly 20 years of operation was removed in the
1950's. An accompanying garage converted to Aircraft Warning
Service living quarters in 1942 is still on the summit.
Some of the points of interest seen from the top are: Mission
Ridge, Stormy Mountain, Stuart Range, and the top of Mt.
Rainier.
The black and white photo
on the right was taken in 1934.
