How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
The above coordinates are NOT for the cache location, but for the recommended parking area.
The key to starting this puzzle lies in the name which hints at the title of a movie made about a group of soldiers and their significant contribution to the allied war effort. We are placing this cache in honor of those soldiers.
To find the coordinates to the cache you will have to decipher the following and find the dates that they occurred. Once you have deciphered them you will have two of these:
Gloe-ih Gloe-ih D-ah Gloe-ih A-kha Yil-tas Tsah Tse-nill Tsin-tliti Dzeh Dibeh
#1 Ni-ma-si A-kha Ne-zhoni Dzeh Gah Tse-nill D-ah Tkin A-kha Tsah
#2 D-ah A-kha Gah Moasi Cha A-kha Ne-zhoni Dzeh Gah Tse-nill D-ah Tkin A-kha Tsah
Using the dates of these events:
Add the month, day, and year of #1, then add that total to N41 02.933, to get the latitude.
Add the month, day, and year of #2, then add that total to W73 48.289, to get the longitude.
The dates will be in the format mm/dd/yyyy. Example 07/25/2005 = 7 + 25 + 2005 = 2037.
If the latitude was N41 09.256 you would add 2037 and the resulting coordinate would be N41 11.293 Disregard the decimal point during your addition.
Most of the code words represent letters of the alphabet but some are complete words.
The cache is a 30 cal. Ammo can hidden in a wooded area to the South of the Tarrytown Lakes extension of the North County Trailway. There is some moderate elevation change.
