Geocache Description:

This is a six-stage multi-cache that can only be done in the dark with a good flashlight.

You will be looking for six consecutive reflective markers. This is a multi-cache that can only be done at night. You will need a good flashlight. The total walk is a relatively level .33 miles and you should stay on the trail / dirt road until you get to the sixth stage. The markers will all be offset about 10 to 20 feet from the intended trail.

DO NOT LEAVE THE TRAIL UNTIL THE SIXTH MARKER

The sixth and final marker is off the road by about 100 feet and is a very easy walk. To get to the sixth stage stay on the road until you are adjacent to the marker. After you find the cache it is a short walk back to the parking area and you will have a nice view of the Reno/Sparks lights at night.

When you get to the starting coordinates take your flashlight and shine it around until you see the first reflective marker. Walk down the trail until you are adjacent to the marker and look for the next marker. Continue this process until you reach the sixth stage. Look down and find the cache!

The theme for this cache is DOTS. Once you open the container you will see that it is full of dice from all over the country. There is not much room for other trade items at this time, so trade your favorite dice.

Caution: There are inherent dangers associated with walking around in the woods at night. You should stay on the trail, make noise so the animals know you are there and watch that you don’t get poked in the head with a tree branch.

The sign at the trailhead states that this is a “Day Use” park. I spoke with the USFS people and they assured me that you are allowed to be in the area after dark. You just cannot camp overnight.

Look at the underside of the lid for a FTF gift.
