Small cache located on a non-ferry served island in the San Juans.
Lopez Pass is a small container made of black ABS pipe with a screw fitting on one end. There is adding machine tape inside for the log, as well as a pen to sign the log. There isn’t really room for swag, but if you have something small it might fit. The difficulty rating is high because of the need to travel by boat to reach the cache. The real value of this cache is the location. I have watched sunrises and sunsets here for decades. To my mind, this is the quintessential San Juans location. Rocky point with fast flowing tidal current and a nice beach close by. Clamming is good on the north side of the spit and anchoring for larger boats is excellent also. Enjoy!
