A Multi-cache in Historic Old Town, San Diego
This is one of the finest Old Town areas in the country. There are many great shops and restaurants in and around Old Town State Historic Park. This tour will take you to the new Plaza del Pasado (Plaza of the Past) which is being renovated and some day soon will be fabulous. The shopkeepers are all dressed in period clothing. The Bazaar del Mundo has moved to a new location where their collection of unique shops has relocated. There’s a nearby trail that leads you up the hill, if you choose to follow it, to the site of California’s first mission. You will pass by the Mormon Battalion Museum where you can learn about the longest infantry march in American history. If you have time, stop in. The people there are very pleasant and ready to share their story with you. Nearby Heritage Park is dedicated to the preservation of San Diego’s Victorian architecture. It also includes the historic Temple Beth Israel. For more information visit: (visit link)
