GAG7 - Henry of Pelham Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

NeoDorset: Out for a lunchtime walk today, I decided to check on this cache.
I was astonished and astounded to find the entire cache contents (including logbook, manifesto, 2 travel bugs, and a fair amount of decent swag) all safely enclosed in the large ziploc and carefully tucked up into the hiding place - but the cache container gone, along with the last vestige of the original container and thus the raison d'être for the cache...

Geocache Description:

As promised to some who’ve done my “Good Things…” cache (GCPB63), a quick and easy cache and dash, originally placed for Go And Get ‘Em 7 – I picked up the original cache container at the previous event in this series (my first). I’m not sure how precise the coordinates are, the reception being rather poor under the trees (a few return visits indicated that the northing is fairly reliable, but the westing is less so – as much as 0.015’ off either way), but once you’re in the vicinity you’ll find the cache in the obvious hiding place.

Your mileage may vary.

August 2006 Update: Although this wasn’t really meant to be a long-term cache, it has proven to be quite popular and I think the hiding place really needs to have a cache in it (but note that stealth may be required at times, it being quite close to an often busy trail). I have replaced the original container with an ammo can, but retained a vestige of the original container for posterity (check out the inside of the lid). Please replace the cache container with the latch on the down side (to aid retrieval) and PLEASE be careful to replace the container *completely* back into position, with the “catch” holding it in place (it may take a little bit of fiddling – and a bit of muscle) so that it remains out of sight. Thanks!
