How Geocaching Works

A short hike about a quarter of mile from the parking lot. About 3 steps off the trail. Cache is in paintball tube
Our daughter Melanie passed away one year ago today from colon cancer, she was only 31. I now realize how important the memories we made are. Mel and her husband Rich loved to geocache and got most of the family involved in this great outdoor activity.
The purpose of this cache is to fill Melanie's Memory Box with many memories. The only way to claim this cache is to share one of your memories when you log this cache. If you don't your log will be deleted.
I will begin by sharing one of my memories with Melanie and her older brother Jeff. Due to gum problems I had my upper teeth removed at a very young age. I had a hard time getting used to my new dentures, so I was always pulling them out of my mouth and putting them in my pocket. One day just before Christmas when Mel and Jeff were about 10-12 we went to Toys R Us shopping. We were walking through the store when I had one of those moments and my new dentures were bothering me. I took them out of my mouth to put them in my pocket and dropped them. While trying to retrieve them I kicked them and they went sailing down the isle. Melanie and Jeff stood there in horror. Then they started to laugh uncontrolably. I was mortified.
For Christmas They gave me pair of th0se wind up dentures that jump all over the place.
Now its your turn. Share a memory. One day I will e-mail everyone who has logged and share all the memories. Sounds like the making of a cute book to me.
