Geocache Description:

Yes! I am a pirate-three hundred years too late, the cannons don't thunder -there's nothing to plunder..I'm an over forty victum of fate! but wait-it's not too late! Another pirate sailed up the river and left some booty! Yep! Old Calico Jack Rackham-legend has it that he left his treasure in a limestone cavern in Florida, well you know what happened to that. Some of it ended up in Pirates Cove Alabama- he left a Black Pearl there too. Then he got lost sailing the Carolina coast and came up the Catawba River. It was shallow then and he had to drop ballast. It's in a Black Half Pearl container and it has a genuine replica of an old Spanish doubloon in a pouch. It also has a gold and silver necklace, a small gold ring, silver earrings and other baubles for milady! First to find gets the best! Or what they consider the best! Calico Jack was hanged in Jamaica in 1720- not considered to be a nice man-unlike some of the "gentleman" privateers. Watch out as other scurvey rougues may show up in modern craft to plunder this! Keeping in the "booty" theme with small trinkets or coins would be nice. Enjoy!
