Zur
Erklärung: Ich bin seit
vielen Jahren Funkamateur und suche mit meinen Antennen und
Empfängern gerne nach möglichst weit entfernten Sendern (DX), meist
natürlich anderen Funkamateuren. Eines Abends war mal wieder auf
den Amateurfunkfrequenzen besonders wenig los (wir nähern uns dem
Sonnenfleckenminimum) und da erinnerte ich mich an einen Artikel
über das „SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) –
Projekt“. Neugierig geworden, richtete ich meine Antenne einfach
mal Richtung Weltraum, zufällig war der rote Planet (Mars) in der
Empfangsrichtung.Auf Kanal 32U war
zuerst nur Rauschen und das übliche Knacken statischer Entladungen
zu hören, aber dann bekam ich zu meinem Erstaunen eine kurze
Botschaft herein. Sie war nur kurz und schwach und sie bestand aus
einer Folge von Tönen, die mir zwar irgendwie bekannt vorkamen, die
ich aber nicht direkt verstehen konnte und sie enthielt weiterhin
einen verstümmelten Hinweis, es sei eine Koordinate und dort sei
eine Art toter Briefkasten der Aliens.Vielleicht könnt ihr mir bei
der Entschlüsselung der Botschafthelfen und dort
suchen?
Die oben
angegebenen Koordinaten sind nicht die des
Caches, sondern die meines
Wochenendhauses in einem kleinen Örtchen.
Nur 210 – 250 m
Luftlinie von der tatsächlichen Cachelocation entfernt gibt es
Parkmöglichkeiten. Von dort aus kann man übrigens auch eine sehr
schöne Wanderung in einem kleinen Tal machen, dort gibt es ja nach
Jahreszeit sogar blühende Orchideen.
Die Cachebox
ist ein kleiner Regular oder ein großer Small Cache - je nach
Betrachtungsweise.

die korrekte Entschlüsselung der Botschaft mit einer E-Mail

prüfen bzw. bestätigen lassen. Die 14 "#" stehen für die 14
relevanten Elemente der Botschaft (ohne Sonder- bzw.
Trennzeichen). Vor dem @-Zeichen der Adresse müssen also 17 Zeichen
stehen. Du bekommst von einem Autoresponder eine
Bestätigung der Koordinaten.

explanation:Since many
years I am a ham radio operator and I usually mostly like to search
for very distant other radio stations (DX), mainly searching for
other hams of course. One night there was not much activity on the
regular ham radio frequency bands (we are approaching the sunspot
minimum) and therefore I remembered an article about the “SETI –
project" that I had recently read in a scientific magazine.Just out
of curiosity I aimed my antenna towards free space and by pure
chance planet Mars was in the right direction.On channel
32U I first only heard the usual noise
and statics, but then –to my surprise- I suddenly received a weak
and short message. It consisted of a series of tones that sounded
fairly familiar to me but which I could not understand directly. In
addition to that there was a garbled hint that these might be the
coordinates of a “dead letterbox” of the aliens.Now I need your
help with the decryption of the message and with the search for the
cache.
The
coordinates above are not those of the
cache, but belong to my
weekend house in a little village.
There is
parking available about 210 – 250 m line-of-sight from the actual
cache location. From the parking place there is a chance for nice
walks in a little valley, depending on the season you may even find
blossoming orchids there.
The cachebox
can be either called a small regular or a large small
cachebox.

The 14 "#" are
placeholders for the 14 relevant elements of the message (without
special or separating characters). In other words: There must be 17
characters in front of the "@" of the address. An autoresoponder
