Geocache Description:

Looking for something found pretty easily, a short distance off of I-287? Look no further...it's Loopy Lucy's Cache located in the heart of the East Irvington Nature Preserve on Taxter Road near Route 119! The terrain is fairly easy, the trails being mostly packed dirt and/or gravel, with only a few minor hills.

Our latest cache would be perfect for families with kids ages 5 or 6+ and/or dogs (as long as the dog is on a 6' leash). In fact, this cache is named after our silly doggie, Lucy, who loves to go walking, hiking, caching with us. The cache is a regular size ammo can with a Geocaching.com sticker on the side. Lots of goodies for kids of all ages: Robbie the Rubber Chicken TB; stickers; high bounce balls; crayons; fake parking tickets; "sticky-fling-things" (not sure what they're really called); log book & giant pencil; etc. We've hidden this cache in the fall, so there are plenty of leaves covering the cache...please re-cover the cache well, so that the next person can enjoy the hunt, too! There's plenty of other things to see in this lovely park ~ ponds, a couple of trails, nice views from the ridges. An added bonus is Perfect Tommy's "Hotel Wecquasgeeks Bug Hotel" cache not too far away, but far enough to explore the park further. Have fun & enjoy the hunt!
