Geocache Description:

This is one of the three I've placed for an excuse to go for a walk over Christmas. All placed within the guidelines of the agreement with the Forestry Commission so please check out the New Forest Guidelines and stick to the rules so that we can continue to cache within the borders of the National Park.

Parking for a couple of cars is possible at:

N50º49.572, W001º24.369

or for a slightly longer walk but with refreshments at The Bridge Tavern

N50º49.555, W001º23.942

The main path is gravel and is part of a permitted cycle route. The actual cache is down a side path approximately 200 metres from this path. There is a slope and mud, you have been warned!

There is no need to leave the path to get to the cache. Take your time around the cache, while I was placing I saw Buzzards, Goldcrests, Coal Tits, a Woodpecker and several Jays.

The actual cache is a 2.4 litre tupperware container. .

Merry Christmas
