In Planeview 2 TB Terminal Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Tatanka49: I hate to see this one go. Its been a cache for almost 15 year. It was my first hide, then revised, then moved number of times. I said if it disappears again I will archive. I guess its time. Unfortunately it is time to go and I am opening the area to others.

Geocache Description:

This cache was a resurrection of a former nearby cache and has proven to be a very popular cache in a secure location. It is a popular staging area and lounge for TB's wishing to leave and enter NY. You do not have to pick up or leave a TB in this cache, but it is appreciated if you take one with you even if you don't drop one off. Just remember that it's a good location for traveling TB's.

This multi-cache is straight forward. It is not designed to make things difficult for people, but to get people to come to this really neat vest-pocket park. This location is best appreciated on a cloudy or rainy day or when the wind is 'just right'. It also provides some great pictures so you may want to bring a camera. The site has been visited by every kid in the neighborhood for the last 60 years. Come and visit it too.

Stage 1 is not accessible from the parkway or the airport so please do not come in that way. Enter from 23 Avenue only.

The posted coordinates take you to a magnetic keybox. Inside you will find the coordinates for stage2. DO NOT REMOVE THE PAPER FROM THE CONTAINER! The location of the regular size cache is hidden -- a short quarter mile walk up the glide-way. Watch for muggles, rental cars and low flying planes at both locations.

So find the message, sit a spell and enjoy the view. When you are ready, mosey along to find the box, sign the log and do some trading. The second stage box is often damaged due to the tight fit, but it gets replaced regularly. The original cache contained a WG$, a NYS lottery ticket (we didn't win!) and the Airport Fire Service (since gone missing) TB. It also had a 6 ride Metro-card for the FTF who I hoped was an out-of-towner. It wasn't, but it was left for a visiting pilot.

This is a great cache to do if you are staying in the airport area and renting a car from one of the airport rental places.
