Fast Food Nostalgia Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Grunriese: Stopped by the site again today, and the entire area has been bulldozed. The poor cache container, a plastic hamburger dog toy, is now buried under mounds of dirt and debris. Very little of the old tile floor is left. Since the container is now lost, I'm sadly going to have to archive this one. Thanks to all who stopped by, and a special thanks to John Flack for the history of this site. Once the construction is over, I have an idea for this location.

Geocache Description:

Circle Construction has Started!

Cache may still be available, but with the cut trees, access will be difficult.
As a result, the difficulty level has been raised from 1.5 to 3 stars.
Please be careful.

The recent nostalgia over now-defunct fast food restaurants prompted this easy cache.

Composite rendering of what the Marlton Burger Chef might have looked like at it's original location (courtesy John S. Flack Jr.)

This is the site of the old Marlton Burger Chef, which closed in 1971, and was demolished in 1977, according to John Flack Jr's Burger Chef website.  The Marlton Burger Chef was located just before the old Two Guys (now Kohl's) shopping center.  All that's left are the tile floors and foundations.

There's plenty of parking nearby, but please be careful as this area is still wide open and highly visible to muggles.  The cache is a micro tucked inside a suitable small container, lightly camouflaged in true South Jersey fashion.  Remember to bring your own pen to sign log.  Outer container may hold very small items.  FTF prize is a two-dollar bill.
