A tribute to our favorite actress.
Small enough to be a micro but large enough for a Trade Coin.
Everyone has heard of Goldie Hawn at one time or another. This cache is located where she filmed part of the one and only movie that she has directed named "HOPE". It was a made for TV movie that aired back in 1997.
Mr. ATMA's brush with celebrities happened when a friend of his from the local EMS called and said they were in need of some technical help during a few of the scenes being filmed here. This was a fun thing to do and was able to meet her and take a lot of photos between scenes.
If you have not yet seen it, you will probably like it.
Here is a bit about the movie.
October 1962. The Cuban Missile Crisis has the small Southern town of Hope, like the rest of the world, edgy and fearful. But the real threat to Hope lies much closer to home. Debuting director Goldie Hawn guides a superb cast, including Christine Lahti ("Chicago Hope"), Jena Malone ("Contact"), Catherine O'Hara ("Home Alone"), Jeffrey D. Sams ("Soul Food") and J.T. Walsh ("Breakdown") in this inspiring story of a girl and a town both coming of age. Fire breaks out in the local movie theater, trapping a little boy in the section marked "Coloreds." Simmering racial tensions erupt in the tragedy's aftermath, threatening to tear the town apart. Was the boy's death an accident or was someone at fault? A young girl knows the answer. She's discovered a terrible secret about the theater- and her family's past. If she tells, her family may be destroyed. If she doesn't Hope will be destroyed.
We HOPE you like this find.
