Geocache Description:

A small plastic container, containing a log book, 2 pencils and a couple of small swop items.

A circular walk in Shoreham Woods, off Shacklands Road Badgers Mount, (off the A224 Orpington by-pass) The walk involves steep hills and can be muddy. Reception was good when the cache was set up, but the tree cover may cause problems in summer and you may have to resort to the clue!!
Start in the Car Park near the Rangers Lodge off Shacklands Road Co ordinates N51 20.017 E000 09.306
Follow the path in the direction of the noise of the motorway!
Cross the motorway bridge and you have a choice of a quick walk (about 600 yards) -just follow your GPS!
Or you can follow the circular waymarked Lizard Walk (about 1 mile) through lovely woods with a carpet of bluebells in spring. This is the shortest of three circular walks in these woods.
The Orchid Walk (4 miles), and the Owl Walk (about 3 miles) will take you past the kissing gate across the valley to another nearby cache and you could rejoin the Lizard Walk near the carved bench.
Leaflets are sometimes available at the Rangers Lodge.
