Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

Where this cache lies is near the "summit" of the Orkney mainlands highest hill; Wideford Hill. The hill summit is both accessible by road, but, a more enjoyable walk is over the moorland or along the shoreline and up, from Kirkwall. Although not too high, Orkney is fairly flat and rolling with vast expanses of sea all round. As such the views all round are very spectacular. You can see all the Northern Isles,as well as down to Ben Hope in Sutherland, on a clear day from up here.

The sky's are surreal and are continually changing. What amazing colours.

There are some pylons with radio gear on them up here, but, you don't have to go near them as you are looking for somewhere much older!

The cache is in a standard 2ltr "tupperware" box. In the box are various bits and pieces e.g. erazors, funny plant pot men(and women!),"groatie buckies" [an Orkney beachcombers treasure!], log book and pencils.
