Geocache Description:

This is a small camouflaged Lock & Lock container.

Eau Claire has deep roots with Ski Jumping going back to the late 1800's. At the height of junior ski jumping in the city in late 1930's and early 1940's, there were seven junior clubs jumping on five different hills with participation estimated as high as 400 children.

Hendrickson Hill was the home to Ski Jumping from 1950 to 1969.

The jumping tower that currently is installed at Silver Mine Hill was previously located here at Hendrickson Hill beginning in 1955 until 1969. The concrete foundations used to hold the tower are still located in the area of this cache.
